RussoFAIL

RussoSo, you guys want to know why the decision was made to strap the Outsiders? It was because... well, you read it. It's courtesy of the Wrestling Observer newsletter, which is quoted here at the A1 boards by commenter extraordinaire KoppoKick:
The tag team titles going to Kevin Nash & Scott Hall was a last minute decision, but it had nothing to do with bad ratings and panicking on going with “proven commodities” on top. What happened is that somebody brought up that Nash had won the feast or fired briefcase to win a tag title match. Bischoff wouldn’t have known since he wasn’t paying attention. Russo and the rest of the creative team booked it but had long since forgotten about it.
Emphasis mine.

Honestly, I can harp on Bischoff for not following up on the company he was buying into with Hogan, but really, I hate on him a lot for things that are egregiously his fault. His snafu pales in comparison to Russo's. Seriously, how do you FORGET something like a banked title shot? It makes me wonder what other tidbits Russo and his crack team of the brain damaged writers forgot. No, wait, I don't want to wonder, because it's probably a laundry list that'll eat up too much of Blogspot's bandwidth. So, in lieu of that, here's a graph I whipped up detailing Vince Russo's ideas as a booker:
