Weekend Wrap-Up: He Just Smiled and Gave Me a Vegemite Sandwich

Undoubtedly to be included in the Jericho DVD

- You read the show review about PWG's Seven, and apparently, the crowd reflected the quality of the show. Between 100 and 200 people were turned away at the door. Let that sink in - some indies (like, say, EVOLVE) would kill to get 100 to 200 fans period, and PWG was turning that number away Friday night. Awesome, awesome news for SoCal indie wrestling.

- The WWE is in Australia right now, which is the big reason for the double tapings of both RAW and Smackdown. They played Melbourne Saturday and Sydney Friday I believe. I think this tour leads into their Chinese debut, which should be interesting to say the least.

- Chris Jericho (subject of my next CCB column) will be getting the DVD treatment with "over a dozen" matches. Weak, but hey, I'll take what I can get. That number probably would be going into the 20s if half his career wasn't spent wrestling The Murderin' Midget. Anyway, it'll be called "Chris Jericho: Breaking the Code: Behind the Walls of Chris Jericho" and it drops Sept. 28th. You guys all know what I want for Christmas, *wink wink nudge nudge buy it for me dickheads*.

- Congratulations to F4W co-conspirator and professional TNA hater Bryan Alvarez for gettin' hitched this past weekend. No word on whether in the invitations had tilde-exclamation point punctuation styled throughout them.

- AJ Styles got big-ass tattoo. Before you ask, no, the dates aren't his title wins, but the births of his children. Either way, it's still better than Icarus' awful, awful back tattoo.

- Finally, gaze ye upon this creation:

new logo?

This image has been floating around the Intartubes this weekend and it's rumored to be the new WWE logo. I have my doubts, but you know what? If it is, then good for them. That claw-scratch logo is way outdated and needs the 86. This retro look is a little on the cheesy side, but I think it's an okay stopgap if it is indeed their new logo. If not, then it's just another case of the Internet getting all riled up for no reason whatsoever, which never, ever happens happens quite often, actually.
