Holy Poop, Dean Malenko Had a Heart Attack?

According to the 11/29 issue of the Wrestling Observer newsletter, Dean Malenko suffered a heart attack. He was experiencing chest pains at the 10/26 Smackdown tapings and then went to the hospital to have the arterial blockage taken care of. He just returned to his job as a road agent at Survivor Series. Malenko is only 50. Wow, here's hoping that it was just a minor thing and that Dean-o Machine-o is alright. Dude's way too young to be brushing up with death. Hopefully, he starts taking care of himself. Get completely well soon, Dean!

  1. Wouldn't have had Malenko down as a guy who has mistreated his body either, outside of taking bumps in crazy juniors matches.

  2. I don't think it's so much drugs or bumps, but maybe Malenko liked fried foods and other unhealthy cuisine?

  3. I don't peg Malenko as irresponsible with health or anything, either; definitely surprising. Also, when 3/4 of a stable that was close out of kayfabe has been hit with death/ailments, it makes you wonder a little...

  4. Could just be bad genetics. That's not outside the realm of possibility.

    Hope he doesn't suffer too bad from after-effects. He was one of my favorties back from the Monday Night Wars.

  5. You guys are nuts, it's pretty well known that the Malenkos (Dean and Joe) were your hookup years ago if you needed anything to, errr.... get you through your day.
