"Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be the host for Tough Enough. I think this is a good move to draw in viewers, given that Austin is one of the two or three names that could draw in old-time fans or casual watchers. The trick will be putting a compelling product on the screen to keep those new viewers in and perhaps entice them to watch RAW and Smackdown. Eh, I don't know. I'd rather them put effort into making NXT something other than a complete joke, but whatever.

well... i think his natural intensity will make for an awesome show. certainly his star power will add some drama to things (Al Snow, he is not) as well as to how much the "recruits" respect their trainer when they walk in the door. This is a guy they likely idolized as young people. this actually makes me look forward to the show even more. and i wouldn't call myself an Austin-mark, per se.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. If someone gets out of line with him, will he stop and check his invisible watch? What if he really can't hear someone and says "What?" and then they mark out. *KICK*WHAM*STUNNER*
