Instant Feedback: I Agree With Big Show

I don't know whether WWE should be blasted for its blatant favoritism towards giving guys like John Cena and Sheamus title shot after title shot despite losing and needing to go back to the line, or whether they should be commended for having the fortitude (arrogance?) to be so transparent with their obviously corrupt methodology towards awarding contendership. There's no reason why Sheamus should be at the front of the line for the World Heavyweight Championship. He lost two matches clean as a whistle, and the match sandwiched in between at Survivor Series was a disqualification victory. So Sheamus won an exhibition match? Big deal. The sun shines on a dog's ass every once in awhile.

Of course, Sheamus' trump card, "u scared, bro? fella?" is going to trump everything, because apparently, resisting a fight is cowardice. I don't know what would stop Brad Maddox even from coming up and challenging Show, CM Punk, Antonio Cesaro, or Kofi Kingston by asking them what they were scared of. Or do you need a certain gravitas? Someone should test this theory. Too bad it can't be Maddox, because tonight was his "last shot." I'm actually not entirely angry at it, because man, that was a fun, fun ass-kicking he took at the hands of Sheamus. When he yelled "GET OFF ME!" while in the ropes, I almost lost my shit. I guarantee he'll be back in the Rumble, but man, this whole Maddox thing has been a wasted opportunity in storytelling from the start. C'est la vie.

As for Show's path for the night, it was pretty amusing seeing his progression of opponent go from Santino Marella to Ricardo Rodriguez to Alberto del Rio. The relationship between del Rio and Rodriguez warms my cold, black heart. My wrestling viewing companion Tom Kingsmill remarked that Rodriguez looked like he was ready for the afterlife after taking that punch and acting like he was dead. The first thing I thought of was him joining Kurt Angle and Chavo Guerrero as Taz remarked "WUT'S DIS? IS DAT RICKROLL CHIMERA HERE IN DA IMPACT ZONE?"

The match was great up until the end when Sheamus once again proved he's a spiteful shithead. Funny how he got his former, mortal rival to join in the fun with him. I guess people bond over being awful people. I don't know. All I know is that when I replace Booker T as Smackdown GM, I will run Smackdown in a way that befits a good business. Then I'll be fired within a week and replaced by Teddy Long. TAG TEAM MATCHES FOREVA IN 2013 PLAYA.
