Episode 119: Wight Visions

Nick Bond of The Classical and Juice Make Sugar is on the podcast this week. We get into the landmark Tag Team Championship match from RAW first, getting into all the fun little strands from The Shield's arrogance in the match, picked up brilliantly by Jerry Lawler (SHOCK), being an extension of meta-storytelling through dirt sheet leaks to the idea of the Attitude Era match perfected. We discuss bumping and blood a bit before getting into a bit of a friendly disagreement about Triple H and a more agreeable chat about "ROH" style creeping into WWE main events. We appreciate Sheamus, discuss Daniel Bryan in the ring, the overwrought patriotism in WWE in 1991, and whether Hulk Hogan would be a better "worker" if he had come up today. We also appreciate Ryback, shake our heads at Curtis Axel, discuss Colt Cabana humanizing wrestlers, go over why Jeff Jarrett may not be as bad as I think he is, and end on a BROCK vs. BROCK fantasy booking showdown.
