Memphis Grizzlies Mascot OUTTA NOWHERE

Grizz might have gotten some tips on his form from Ol' Naitch, WOO

The Memphis Grizzlies already have one tie to the wrestling industry in that Jerry "The King" Lawler is one of the team's superfans. Lawler really is royalty in the town he helped make famous as a wrestling haunt, and the city itself may identify more as a wrestling locale than for any other sport. The team has also participated in wrestling night, as denoted above with Ric Flair coming in the house to celebrate. However, Grizz, the team's mascot, took that wrestling oeuvre to a whole new level, as captured by the team's official Twitter page.

?During the team's first round NBA playoff game against the Portland Trailblazers, Grizz assailed fellow co-mascot, Natch (who was wearing a Blazers jersey) with a RKO OUTTA NOWHERE. If that was the only thing that happened, it would've been great theater. However, Grizz took things to an EXTREME level (in honor of Extreme Rules?), put Natch on a table, and dove off him from a ladder. I'm surprised the arena didn't start chanting "HE'S HARDCORE! HE'S HARDCORE!" afterwards. The Grizzlies defeated the Blazers by a resounding score of 100-86. I'm sure the team will credit its rough and tumble play and suffocating defense for the win, but I'm gonna chalk it up to Grizz showing off some ruthless aggression over here.
