Roddy Piper Memorial Service in Portland

One last goodbye to the Rowdy Scot

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper may have made a national splash with Jim Crockett Promotions first and then more prominently WWE, but his salad days were contained in the Portland territory. He was one of Don Owen's crown jewels, and Piper repaid the promoter with undying loyalty, refusing to work dates for WWE when it ran shows in the territory. Piper even helped attempt to resuscitate the territory in recent times with the locally televised indie Portland Wrestling Uncut.

Upon his death, the territory's luminaries, fans, and friends got together and held a memorial service. It was captured on video and posted on YouTube. It's a bit long, but it's worth watching.
