So, Jushin "Thunder" Liger is set to make his big WWE debut on Saturday night against Tyler Breeze at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Liger is new to the actual WWE, but he's not new to the tape library. A frequent visitor to World Championship Wrestling, Liger has had many opportunities to show his wares for American crowds even before his dalliances in the American indies. At Starrcade 1996, he took on Rey Mysterio (well, Rey Misterio, Jr. at the time). Late 1996 saw the rise of the New World Order in WCW, but with the growth of the rogue invader stable also saw the establishment of the cruiserweight division. This match is one of those examples of innovative wrestling counterbalancing the big angle doings.
