If you want to know why Chikara as we know it today isn't Chikara anymore, the best place to start is right here. On the surface, it was a story of a man who had to swallow his pride and ask his rival to help defeat the man who would steal his girlfriend. It was a failed attempt, as the Throwbacks would win when Veronica Ticklefeather chose Mark Angelosetti over Archibald Peck. However, it's what happened between the time that Mixed Martial Archie sulked backstage and reemerged as the Leader of the Band that has extreme bearing on the events that led to the conspiracies, time rifts, and paramilitary takeovers. You aren't going to see what happened backstage in this match. However, you will see an entertaining tragic comedy unfold before your very eyes watching it.
