DiBiase for GM

Jim Ross lavishes high praise for Ted DiBiase as this past week's guest host for RAW. I agree with him 100%, bee-tee-dubya. Although I felt the Million Dollar Man was a bit nervous earlier on, flubbing some of his lines, he still delivered a resoundingly powerful and on-point performance on an otherwise pedestrian RAW. The segments he had with his son were really cool too, which showed that some of daddy's charisma is in the genes and was passed along to the son. Why Priceless Legacy hasn't gotten a chance to show their wares until now is baffling, as they could be an anchor for a great tag team division. Oops, there I go beating that dead horse again.

DiBiase would be a refreshing change of pace from Vickie Guerrero, whom I thought was good but overexposed. DiBiase is a lifer in the business and knows how to work a microphone, even after all this time away. The trademark laugh is still extremely over and booming. Even if he's used in the deus ex machina role, he can work. He can also effectively work both the heel and face sides of the fence to great reaction, so maybe if they do give him a full-time job, he could, y'know, be the fair GM that I and a certain other number of people have been clamoring for.

And count me among the people who think DiBiase should be in the WWE Hall of Fame. In fact, I think he should be inducted this year. The MDM was one of the heel cornerstones of the late 80s, and with some of the guys they've put in the hall before him, there's no reason why he shouldn't be there.

Another thing to note from the blog entry is that JR likes the MMA, and that he's cordial towards Brock Lesnar. Interesting.
