Quick Hits, Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith

Hardy- According to the WrestleFix Twitter page, which is citing F4W Online (most likely their premium, members-only section), Jeff Hardy has people in TNA concerned about his well-being because the dude's been sloppier than a toddler eating spaghetti with extra gravy. He apparently gave Kevin Nash a concussion by Swanton Bombing him right in the dome in that cage match a few weeks back. Eek. If you're wondering what "being concerned about his well-being" entails, well, they probably think he's on the drugs again. Not a shock, since TNA's substance abuse policy seems not to be enforced at all. Here's hoping that Hardy's just weighted by his pending drug trial and not back on the drugs again, because for as sick of him as I still am, that doesn't mean I want him to die.

- Speaking of Hardy... that fireball to the face he took on Impact? It really burned him in the face, thanks to the fireball needing three "takes" and the substance that James Storm used to ignite the fire getting on Hardy's face and igniting when the fire came near it. Hardy's gonna be as okay as one could be in his shoes. Here's the video:

Again, maybe TNA ought not to throw things out there without proper training or preparation in the name of shock value.

- The word is no guest host for the Draft RAW, which is good, because he/she/they would just get in the way of the proceedings. The Draft RAW is usually one of the best shows of the year if just because it's nothing but wrestling matches to determine the picks, and if it's anything like last year's card, headlined by a super-strong John Cena/Jack SWAGGAH~! match, it'll be joy for us fans of, y'know, wrestling matches.

- Just in case you haven't seen this yet (and believe me, if this is the first you're seeing of it, you either don't venture onto the Internet all that often or you live under a rock), Jim Cornette sent a letter to Terry Taylor threatening to murder Vince Russo. Or that's at least what the reply from TNA seems to intimate. Me? I don't think Cornette wants to murder him, and he was just using exaggeration to make a point. That being said... WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING SENDING SOMETHING IN ELECTRONIC PRINT TO A TNA EMPLOYEE ABOUT KILLING ANOTHER TNA EMPLOYEE ON HIS TNA E-MAIL ACCOUNT? ...ahem. Oops, shift key got stuck. No one ever said Cornette had any common sense - hence the trail of ash that follows him from all the bridges he's burnt in this business - even if he is regarded as one of the guys who actually "gets" how wrestling should be booked.
