The War Is Over for Now

TNA, playing the part of Grenada, will be moving back to Thursday nights full-time thanks to the curbstomping it's been getting in the ratings from the WWE, playing the part of the WWE, in the newest installment of the Monday Night Wars, which didn't turn out to be a war at all. TNA Attention Whore President Dixie Carter made the announcement to the guys today that the change would happen.

Despite my sarcastic and glib tone above, this is really a shame. TNA had been showing some signs of improving, but they've been somewhat inconsistent and more importantly, they weren't really living up to their "CHANGE" slogan in that even in the improved shows, they were still presenting a product too similar to what the WWE was putting out. I mean hell, Carter even used WWE-esque language in her Tweet foreshadowing/hyping this earlier:
TNA will make a major announcement during tonights TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV at 8ET/7CT. We strive to deliver what our fans want, and the next step in the evolution of the TNA brand will do just that.
Be that as it may, one positive comes out of the deal. Vince Russo quit as head writer, so the experiment couldn't have been a total failure, amirite?

ETA: Additionally, Spike has added TNA ReAction to the schedule on Thursdays full-time. For those not in the know, it's a sort of "behind-the-scenes" interview type show that asks kayfabe questions to wrestlers who answer them in-character but in sort of a candid way.
