Weekend Wrap-Up: Dragons, Honor and Justin Henry's 40 Questions for Dixie Carter

Yoshino mocks Dragon Kid at the last DGUSA show in Philly

Another busy, busy weekend at the H household, what with Mothers' Day (btw, belated Happy Mothers' Day to all my matronly readers!) and such. I will come through with the features that were supposed to run this weekend today. But before that, let's run down what took place this weekend, okay?

- Ring of Honor ran two shows this weekend, including Supercard of Honor V on Saturday at the Manhattan Center (I'm going to get there one of these days). Friday night's card was in Manassas, VA, and it featured Christopher Daniels' first match back in ROH with a win over Kevin Steen. Also, Delirious main-evented in a tag match with the Champ Tyler Black winning over Austin Aries and Rhett Titus. Good to see Delirious get a rub, since he's, y'know, F'N AWESOME. The NYC Supercard of Honor featured a dream match of the MCMGs vs. the Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero) being interrupted by a Briscoe Bros. run-in. Very questionable booking there, seeing as you have a dream match being ruined by a face team running in? I guess they're really trying to sell that this is a blood feud. Also, Black retained his title over Roderick Strong, much to the delight of the emo girls who flock to the Arena for ROH tapings and to the dismay of smarks who want to see Roddy get a freakin' title reign.

- DGUSA made its Canadian debut this weekend. People were crapping on Gabe Sapolsky for scheduling in Canada and opposite of a much-hyped UFC card that featured Shogun Rua making Lyoto Machida his bitch (for those who like MMA). Honestly, the attendance figures there were about the same as what ROH drew in Manassas, and Toronto is a very strong wrestling market. The action from what I heard though was AMAZING. Not surprised because with the exception of Jack Evans and Teddy Hart, DGUSA's regulars are all pretty talented. There weren't any title switches, but the DVDs sound worth ordering just for the Masato Yoshino/Dragon Kid 2/3 falls match and the Naruki Doi and PAC vs. QuackSaw matches.

- NINJA EDIT: PWG's annual DDT4 Tag Team Tournament took place this weekend, and finally, the Young Bucks' reign of terror has ceased. They lost in the finals to the team of the "Intrepid Traveler" Paul London and El Generico, thus losing their PWG Tag Team Championships in the process. There was much rejoicing in SoCal!

- Blog friend Justin Henry posted another really funny article over the weekend, this time, asking Dixie Carter 40 questions about TNA and why she allows it to suck. It's a must-read.
