Weekend Wrap-Up: He's Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...

Daniel Bryan kicks Heath Slater's head in!- SummerSlam was last night, obviously. The big news was yes, Virginia, Bryan Danielson again took on the assumed name of Daniel Bryan and got to end his tie-choking timeout. He was the 7th member of Team WWE, subbing for an "injured" Great Khali, and from the sounds of it, he got the most protection of any guy not named Clark Kent John Cena. Bryan immediately tapped bizarro blackface Cena Darren Young and then later eliminated Heath Slater before needing a shot to the back of the skull from Miz's MitB briefcase to get eliminated himself.

Speaking of Cena, the moans and groans throughout the Internet this morning mainly are attributed to him being booked as Superman yet again, turning a sure loss from a Justin Gabriel 450 splash into a rapid fire elimination of both Gabriel and Wade Barrett to win the match. More on that later.

No titles changed hands, although Randy Orton did beat Sheamus via DQ. Kane defeated Rey Mysterio cleanly by pinfall, and then just like last year, Undertaker returned to stalk the heel Champion (Kane having officially turned heel after Taker accused him of putting him in a "persistent vegetative state"). Only instead of making Punk pee his pants, Taker ended up eating a tombstone from his little bro. Speaking of Punk, he walked out of his handicap match against Big Show, leaving Luke Gallows and Joey Mercury to get squishified. It sounded like I didn't miss much, although I would have loved to have seen Bryan's return (which was actually spoiled on WWE.com with a premature add to the roster page and then article about his return an hour before it happened) and the main event.

- In case you missed it yesterday, Adam Pearce is out as ROH booker and the combo team of Delirious/Jim Cornette is in. After more rumination, I think Pearce kinda got a raw deal since his stories were getting a LOT better this year than they were last year, but if Cornette's hand has been in the pot since September, maybe that had something to do with it. I don't know. Either way, I expect ROH to be at least interesting in the coming months, especially with how they handle Tyler Black's exit, whether he'll just drop to Davey Richards and telegraph the Final Battle World Title match, or whether the middleman will get cut out and the next torchbearing Champion (Roderick Strong? Kevin Steen?) will win sooner rather than later.

- WWE Diva Tiffany was arrested and reportedly suspended for a domestic disturbance featuring gangly husband and possible McPoyle family member Drew McIntyre. I don't know any of the specifics, but hey, this is what passes for news nowadays.

- Finally, in the biggest news of all, since I am on the road this week, you know what that means... LIVE BLOG~! Yep, there will be some LiveBloggery for tonight's edition of RAW. Doors will open around 8:30 PM, and hopefully we can do this up at least half as well as we did the last time, which was the greatest Live Blog in the history of Live Blogs.
