Instant Feedback: You Better Settle Your Tea Kettle

Wow. Compare this week's RAW to a random RAW from the prior weeks and you'll be surprised that the same people were presumably behind each one. This week had so much going for it. It had continuity from 2+ years ago re: Punk and Orton. It had intersecting storylines with the dream tag match of Daniel Bryan and Jerry Lawler against The Miz and Ted DiBiase. It had an overarching story with Punk's Nexus decimating everyone, through deceit or through brute force. It had a logical rematch from the Royal Rumble. It had three pretty good matches. Hell, it even had unintentional comedy with Nattie on commentary. Seriously, what is going on here?

Punk bringing up Orton costing him the World Championship at Unforgiven before the Six Pack Challenge (leading to Chris Jericho's first World Title in over 6 years!) was the big highlight. I didn't think the WWE had it in them to remember this. Then again, continuity is at least given face value treatment even if the actions don't obey that same continuity. Yeah, it was weak that they waited this long, but hey, at least it was used in a way that makes sense.

The del Rio/Santino match was especially good, even though I felt it was kind of a missed opportunity. This was the kind of match they could have used to promote a RAW or even sell some PPVs. I don't know if they know it, but Santino is OVER. Still, it was a very well-paced match with the right result.

RAW was very good tonight. Hopefully, WrestleMania season means that we'll be seeing more of these RAWs and fewer of the shitty ones.
