Yes, that's a real graphic from the Chikara site. Sara del Rey. El Generico. This match has been signed and will be sealed and delivered April 28th in Chicago, IL as part of the ROH/Chikara Synergy doubleheader, to take place on the Chikara half called Hot Off the Griddle. I really am speechless at the announcement. The only negative I can think of is that it's happening in Chicago and not in Philadelphia so I have to wait and see it either on DVD or on the Smart Mark on demand site.
I've been beating the social drum in regards to del Rey, but all the stuff about gender equity and what have you aside, this should be an awesome match in general. That's the point of Chikara, to have awesome matches, regardless of what societal restraints may or may not be in place. Add that onto the previously announced Eddie Kingston/Kevin Steen Grand Championship match that was already announced for the Chikara half and the Briscoe Brothers/Hallowicked and Jigsaw ROH Tag Championship match for the ROH half? If you live in Chicago and don't go to one or both halves of this event, you are not a wrestling fan. Period.
