Instant Feedback: Heyman Hustles

So, the mere appearance of a figure on RAW tonight made a certain portion of the fanbase lose their collective shit. Was it The Rock? Kharma? Brock Lesnar? Nope, it was Paul Heyman. I have to admit, even though it was somewhat spoiled for those who follow CM Punk on Twitter, I was a bit intrigued at why Heyman was back on RAW, but I just don't see why everyone seems to think he NEEDS to be back to talk for Lesnar. I loved the Lesnar character talking for himself and basically digging himself into situations with his big mouth that he'd have to kimura his way out of. Bringing Heyman back to me feels like they're trying too hard to reclaim the magic of before, but then again, I seem to be in the... EXTREME minority here. Sorry, it was there, had to take it.

Other than that, I thought RAW was there. Once again, they figured it better to air a segment that wholly recapped something from last week rather than having something else happen, but at least there were wrestling matches. Punk vs. Lord Tensai and Daniel Bryan was about as good as a handicap match can be, which is pretty darn good, actually. The Miz got Brodus Clay to wrestle his first real match since becoming the Funkasaurus, and it was damn good. The tag match that set up the now-fatal four way for the World Championship at Over the Limit was pretty good too.

Also, I'm not really sure why WWE continues to push anti-bullying when all the cool guys are the bullies. Big Show makes fun of John Laurinaitis' voice and he bitches about having to apologize. CM Punk basically does nothing but rip Laurinaitis when he's within 5 feet of him. One could make an argument that Lesnar himself is one of the coolest cats in the room, and who's a bigger bully than he is? (Although to their credit, they are positioning him as a bad guy so there's that)
