Three days from Bound for Glory, and all the dressing for the big event should be done. All that needed to be done was to dot the is and cross the ts. Lazy dick Rob van Dam needed a match still, and they needed to officially build Bully Ray as an ally of Sting so that the vicious cycle of Sting getting betrayed in big moments (hell, he's an Impact Hall of Famer because of it). Those were the is and ts. The rest of the show was free to have wrestling matches.
In that arena, the company delivered. They sent out James Storm and Austin Aries in a strong opener and kept hitting with strong matches throughout the night, including a fun tag match with Sting and Bully against Christopher Daniels and Kazarian and the closer between Robert Roode and Jeff Hardy. They didn't have to do much, but what they put out was a solid way to end their last cycle before their biggest event.
