Steve Corino took a hard bump on a superplex through a barricade last night at the Ring of Honor television tapings. They brought a backboard out for him, but he crawled to the back without any assistance from medical personnel. Further reporting from F4W Online revealed that the extent of Corino's injuries are cracked ribs, which are painful, but not nearly as serious as first feared.

This isn't the first time Corino has taken heat for endangering himself. As stated in the Cageside link, Corino took heat for his Final Battle match with Kevin Steen for taking unprotected chair shots to the head. He's an old pro, but the old pro attitude is one that gets guys addicted to painkillers and contributes to the CTE epidemic plaguing contact sports and high-impact theater like pro wrestling. Also, I take issue to saying that someone who has cracked ribs is "going to be fine" because rib injuries are kinda painful. Again, it's not the wear on the body that necessarily can be the worst thing. Painkillers are a bitch.

Anyway, here's hoping that Corino makes a full recovery.
