Episode 117: Mary Ann Meets Los Conquistadores and Other Short Stories

Brandon Stroud of With Leather/The Mandible Claw has returned to the podcast this week. After a small sidebar on which bending tribe we would identify with and our favorite starter Pokemon, we get into Battleground, specifically how Triple H has improved as an on-screen presence, mainly because of the Rhodes family feud. I'm a bit apprehensive about the Rhodes Boys vs. The Shield at Battleground, but Brandon actually sees it as a no-lose situation for him. I'm annoyed by ECW nostalgia and give my theory on how ECW's three elements coalesced into the Philly indie scene. Brandon is annoyed by TNA and by people (specifically me) throwing shade at WCW. We get into NXT, specifically Brandon's experiences watching Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro live. We also talk a lot about Inspire Pro, including Brandon's role as a ring announcer there. We finish up with some talk about Legend of Korra, and Brandon describes his new obsession, Attack on Titan.
