The United Nations Have Arrived at King of Trios

Team number nine for this year's King of Trios tournament consists of three supremely international characters. Juan Francisco de Coronado (making his Trios debut), the Proletariat Boar of Moldova, and Mr. Azerbaijan represent the United Nations Challenge of the Immortals team, and they will be combining to try and take home this year's medallions. I was hoping for the Boar's and Mr. A's regular Bloc Party teammate, Prakash Sabar, to get the nod, but what Coronado lacks in character continuity, he more than makes up for in in-ring ability. Coronado has been one of the finest workers in the Chikaraverse since showing up in Wrestling Is Fun, and he's done most of his thang under the radar.

Of course, the Nations don't strike fear into the hearts of men and women like the other three native trios do, and they're the first of said native trios that are not immediately among the favorites to win the whole thing. However, not every team is meant to be royalty. Some teams serve a singular purpose, and honestly, if the United Nations' purpose is to have an incredibly amusing contest with, say, the Blue World Order along the way, then their purpose would have been well-served.

Again, joining the Nations in this year's tournament are the Bullet Club (AJ Styles and the Young Bucks), Team Lucha Underground (Aerostar, Fenix, and Drago), Team Fight Club Pro (MK McKinnon and Moustache Mountain), Team ATTACK (Mark Andrews, Pete Dunne, and Flash Morgan), the bWo (Big Stevie Cool, Da Blue Guy, Hollywood Nova), the defending Champion Devastation Corporation (Blaster McMassive, Max Smashmaster, and Flex Rumblecrunch), Dasher's Dugout (Dasher Hatfield, Mark Angelosetti, and Icarus), and the Snake Pit (Ophidian, Shynron, and Eddie Kingston). Seven more teams remain. At this point, I expect the other six Challenge of the Immortals teams to be represented, which leaves one final team left that could go one of two directions. Either Kevin Condron and "Juke Joint" Lucas Calhoun get a third misfit to join their gang (Lithuanian Snow Troll?) and disrupt everyone's fun, or a sixth guest team comes in as the mic-dropping 16th team. My guess is to lean towards the latter with Condron playing some sort of guerrilla warrior, but then again, I've been wrong before.
