DVDs They Need to Produce: In Your House

Remember the In Your House series? It was the WWF's first foray into monthly PPV, starting out as a less-expensive, shorter-timed event that might have had main events they would usually put on RAW today. There were a lot of fun matches on these events, and some of the themed ones would go on to become regular monthly PPVs.

The idea of running a two-hour PPV featuring off-caliber matches now would be absurd, but back then, before having a big match to headline your TV show every week, that was a novel concept. Not only did guys like Steve Austin and the British Bulldog get World Championship spots before they were established, you had fun tag main events too, like Owen Hart and Yokozuna defending the tag straps against Diesel and Shawn Michaels or the famous Canadian Stampede 10-man tag main event.

The WWE is releasing a lot of old stuff on DVD, but I think they might be sitting on something that fans like myself and most likely other old school guys like Jason Mann would eat up. I say they should compile them in box sets for each year they were out. Hell, even if they just did a "Best of In Your House", that would be nice. They'd have a nice assortment of different matches to put in there, from title tilts like the Michaels/Bulldog one from International Incident to the aforementioned Canadian Stampede match.

The WWE may have been in a dark spot in the mid-'90s, but there was still a lot of really fun wrestling action to be had on their middle PPVs. I hope they release some kind of compilation, be it a box set or a best of. In Your House is an important part of WWE history, they'd be foolish to ignore it.
