Next Two ROH World Championship Matches Set

Strong
Straight from the horse's mouth

The main event for this weekend's ROH 9th Anniversary Show is Roderick Strong defending his ROH World Championship against Homicide. ROH just named the next two opponents for whomever wins that match, and they are the former and current TV Champions. Eddie Edwards, who earned a World Championship shot by virtue of winning Survival of the Fittest, will cash that shot in on March 19th at Manhattan Mayhem in NYC. Whoever wins that match will battle Christopher Daniels on April 1st in Atlanta for one of their WrestleMania shows.

My take is that both guys seem like intermediary title shots right now. I expect Strong to emerge from the Anniversary Show with the belt intact, which means he'll probably hold onto it until he wrestles Davey Richards again. Edwards seems like a challenger who needs to be built up, and with the news that Daniels signed with TNA and is just running out his ROH contract, I doubt they're going to strap him. Common sense. Still, regardless of the combinations, both challengers should be game.
