Alright, time to dip into our second pod of second round matchups, but first, let's see how the results from Madison Square Garden panned out:

#1 CM Punk d. #9 Chuck Taylor, 64-7
#5 Sheamus d. #13 Akira Tozawa, 46-23
#10 Samoa Joe d. #2 Randy Orton, 48-21 (Upset!)
#3 John Cena d. #6 The Miz, 42-28

Alright, now, let's dive in down in the dirty South with the Omni. First up, #1 seed, WWE World Champion and all-around role model Daniel Bryan takes to another tag team specialist as he battles #9 seeded ROH Tag Champ Jay Briscoe. Bryan clobbered Jon Davis, surrendering only one vote, but one has to believe that Briscoe, who toppled Adam Pearce, will give the American Dragon a much stiffer fight, right?

Next up, #4 seed SHIMMER World Champion Cheerleader Melissa, who took out Jigsaw in the first round, will take on the #12 seed RD Evans, who felled James Storm. A rare intergender matchup where the former Alissa Flash will have a size advantage over her foe, but what Evans lacks in size, he more than makes up for in craftiness and devious behavior.

Match three pits the World's Strongest #2 seed Mark Henry and ROH Television Champion and #10 seed Jay Lethal. Henry squished Robbie E on the way here, while Lethal easily dispatched Nick Jackson. Henry has been back to his winning ways lately, but can he easily take out a man who can, on a moment's notice, summon the spirit of the Macho Man to course through his veins?

Finally, #3 seed and DGUSA Open the Freedom Gate Champion Johnny Gargano, fresh off taking out a spry and game challenger in ACH, will battle one of the prospective future challengers to his title, the #11 seed Sami Callihan. Callihan, after dispatching the man Gargano won the title from in YAMATO, is a one-man death machine who will be taking time from destroying the remnants of old ECW to bulldoze through this tourney. Will his path remain unabated, or will the iron spirit and immortal legs of the Whole Shebang put a stop to the nonsense right here and right now?
