The Biggest Reason Why Daniel Bryan Is Amazing Right Now

YES! YES! YES!

Daniel Bryan went out to the ring last night, almost guaranteed not to get a clean pinfall decision over The Big Show. No way. It was a singles match where Show was going in as the number one contender to Sheamus' World Championship and where Bryan was cemented as a tag specialist. He lost, but I'm not sure anyone really cared. In the past, they may have, but last night, the peeps are few and far between about how he's booked. Why?

Because he's the most popular dude in the company, that's why. Dude can't take two steps without people reacting to him. The reactions are the same whether he wins or loses, and to wit, the reason why he is so popular is because he lost so famously at WrestleMania. Still, that's besides the point.

The fact that the small, pale, indie-workrate-freak type guy has come into WWE and taken it by the garbanzos may be the most amazing thing to happen in wrestling in a long time. Many people never thought he'd reach the heights he's reached even right now, and I think he can go higher.

I don't want to jinx this, but I really do think Bryan can headline a WrestleMania and become the all-timer I know he can become based on everything he's done and can do. Imagine him in a Mania match that lasts longer than 18 seconds with the spotlight flashing on him. If you think he can go now, wait until he gets a John Cena or a CM Punk or even someone like The Rock (don't ever count that out) with a half-hour to tell a story.

But even if he doesn't, he's the most amazing thing in WWE right now. He bucked the system. He got huge in a company that chews up people like him and then spits them out. Sure, Punk's the franchise right now, but he even towers over Bryan and had the obvious talking skills to get to this point. Bryan seemed to shock everyone except his closest, most hardcore fans with how well he's acquitted himself on the microphone and in segments.

So when Bryan comes out to wrestle and loses, it's clear why I and many others don't bat a single eyelash. Number one, he's wrestling, which means it's more than likely going to be a great match. Second, it's because no matter what, he's made it. The WWE fans have accepted him as one of their own, and it would take an act of God for him to fall out of favor with them. I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty neat.
