Friday Five: Iron Sheik, plus, TWB goes MAINSTREAM

Before I get to the Friday Five, I have a pretty cool announcement to make regarding the blog and mainly, the guy writing the blog (that's me!). As of today, I'm now a part-time contributor to the Camel Clutch Blog, which is part of the Uproxx family of blogs. What does that mean? Well, Uproxx is the same group that brings you quality like Kissing Suzy Kolber (linked in the sidebar) and other blogs that run the gamut of popular (and not-so-popular) culture. The CCB itself is a fantastic blog that features a lot of talk about not only wrestling, but football, MMA and even American Idol if that's your bag. More importantly, it features two of my favorite wrestling writers on the Internet right now, Eric Gargiulo (the senior editor of the blog) and Justin Henry.

You can find my first column here. Of course it's about Bryan Danielson. About whom else would it be?

What does that mean for this blog? Well, hopefully it'll boost the readership a bit with the cross-promotion, but other than that, not a whole lot. I'm still gonna be here, cranking out the regular features, writing about everything that I can think about writing and of course, making fun of Vince Russo, Triple H and the Crucial Crew. So basically nothing really is going to change, although maybe we'll get some new commenters out of the deal. For any new (or hell, even older ones too!) commenters, please, feel free to comment as often as you'd like.

And now, your Friday Five, featuring the man who'll promise to fuck you in the ass and make you humble:

1. Do you follow Iron Sheik on Twitter/Facebook, and if so, what are your thoughts?

2. How much of Sheik's heel persona do you think came from his legit batshit craziness?

3. Did you recognize him immediately when he came out as "Col. Mustafa" during the Sgt. Slaughter-as-Iraqi-heel run?

4. Would you pay money to see Iron Sheik fight Bubba the Love Sponge?

5. What was your favorite Iron Sheik match?

Remember you can contact TH and ask him questions about wrestling, life or anything else. Please refer to this post for contact information. He always takes questions!
