In honor of the newest WWE superstar, Sin Cara, here's a Friday Five about Mexico and lucha libre!
1. Do you think the WWE playing up Sin Cara's heritage as Mistico in introducing him is a good idea?
2. Who is your favorite Mexican wrestler to wrestle for an American fed, be it full time or as a guest star?
3. Do you like lucha libre?
4. Who has the best mask in wrestling right now? Of all-time?
5. Buy or sell: The WWE will run a WrestleMania in Mexico City within the next five years.
Remember you can contact TH and ask him questions about wrestling, life or anything else. Please refer to this post for contact information. He always takes questions!
1. Yes. With ADR's success I think putting over a newcomer as a big star in Mexico might raise his stock in the fans' eyes.
ReplyDelete2. Best? Rey, simply for all the success he has had. Favorite, though? LA PARKA!!! That dance was pure win.
3. Love it. I even catch it on the Spanish station on the satellite now and then even though I don't know WTF the announcers or workers are saying.
4. I have to give this one to a Japanese guy: Ultimo Dragon is my favorite of all time. Right now I'd have to give it to Ultramantis Black.
5. I'd like to say BUY. I think establishing a foothold in Mexico is vital to continuing the expansion of that market. I'd love to see them do it in other international cities, too. The people in Asia love the crap out of them. Why not run a show in China? Japan? They certainly have the fan base.
1. Yes. Rey brought in a ton of latino fans.
ReplyDelete2. I'd have to go with Eddie. ADR and Rey are right up there.
3. I've seen it on tv, but I don't know who is who or what is going on. I wish they had an English announce table.
4. I guess Rey. /shrug
5. Sell. I just don't see Vince doing this. Maybe another PPV, but probably not WM.
1. Of course it is!
ReplyDelete2. Eddie Guerrero no one is even closer.
3. Yes
4. Rey Mysterio now. El Santo best ever.
5. WM out of the USA not for 10 years atleast.
