The DDT is a great move by itself. Lots of people have made their tweaks on it to make it look deadlier. There's the double arm DDT, Randy Orton's "stump" DDT, the tornado DDT and the like, but my favorite has become the flying DDT. That is, a wrestler like Obariyon flies off the top rope and hits someone with the DDT on the way down. Sick move, bro.
