Wrestling Six Packs: First-Timers I Want to See at SHIMMER

J-Hav is fierce enough for SHIMMER

I know the new hotness is dissolving the gender barrier in wrestling, and I'm all for it happening everywhere. That being said, there's still a place for promotions like SHIMMER to remain as havens for women to hone their skills en masse while the rest of the wrestling world drags its feet in providing a combined stage. While we wait, here are six women who haven't been to Berwyn yet that I'd like to see make it there.

1. Jessicka Havok

This is a no-brainer, really. Havok is pretty much the biggest name who hasn't appeared for SHIMMER yet. She's started to appear for SHINE, which may or may not be an entree into getting her ticket to Berwyn punched, but with all that being said, there's a huge caveat. She has to come in like a big friggin' deal. We're talking dream matches right away. Havok is a star, and her arrival could be something really, really special.

2. Emi Sakura

SHIMMER has a reputation for bringing over joshi talent, but a lot of it skews younger. Sakura's been on the scene for almost 20 years now, but I don't think she's been as critically relevant as she is now. She's toured England, pioneered wrestling in Thailand, and spearheaded one of the most well-received invasion angles in Japan. Saraya Knight is proof that older competitors can still rock the house. Sakura would fit in great.

3. Addy Starr

Talking about the future, Starr is blowing up the scene thanks to Interspecies Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling, and Women's Superstars Uncensored. She's a pinball bumper, energetic high flyer, and she brings just this never-say-die attitude in any match she's in. She'd be a great fit anywhere in the card.

4. Alpha Female

She's legitimately scary. I mean, she's got a hulking presence, a female hoss, if you will. She could totally mow through anyone on the roster and provide a great monster to slay eventually. Whether over one set of tapings or multiple ones, the potential with this Germanic giant is nearly limitless.

5. Luscious Latasha

She's made a bit of noise around the scene lately. I saw her at Girls' Night Out 5, and she stood out to me as someone who had potential enough to stand out in main events against the best of the circuit. She's getting to that level with WSU, but I think she could fit in at SHIMMER.

6. Barbi Hayden

I know Anarchy Championship Wrestling and SHIMMER tend to run the same weekends, but Hayden is definitely someone who would excel in SHIMMER. She's got a great personality, good luck, expressive body language, and oh yeah, she's a damn fine wrestler. She could be a top villain there in no time.
