Episode 99: Figure Four Number Five

Ian Riccaboni of Phillies Nation returns to the show this week. We talk about Triple H sucking the life out of WWE and how he submarined Curtis Axel's grand re-debut. We get into Axel and similarities with his father as well. The Shield comes up, and it sparks a conversation about friendship in wrestling and how tag teams are analogous to romantic relationships in real life. Artificial expectations, spoilers, process over results, and desensitization to swerves are all topics as well. We also discuss Kofi Kingston as the ultimate kids' wrestler, and how vague goals are great but how they need to come into focus at the right time. Finally, we discuss a little baseball, specifically how 18 pastries caused Aroldis Chapman to give up back-to-back homers to Phillies utility guys and whether strikeouts are as bad as people make them out to be.
