Any Shows This Weekend? CZW, Rampage

This time, they pick each other's opponents

This weekend's a big one in wrestling. I previewed Chikara's doubleshot yesterday, and honestly, while Impact's Lockdown is on Sunday, well, you already know all about that if you really wanted to, and they didn't compel me enough to want to write about it. Sorry, Dixie. (Note: I'm not sorry) Either way, there are still a whole bunch of shows going on this weekend happening all around the continent.

Outside of Chikara, the biggest indie show happening this weekend is at Flyers Skate Zone in Vorhees, NJ. Combat Zone Wrestling will be presenting their show Wanted tomorrow night at 7:30 PM. It will be headlined by a four-way World Championship match with Masada defending his title against Joe Gacy, Matt Tremont, and Christina von Eerie. Masada and von Eerie battled to a no contest at the 14th Anniversary Show, and now, she's gunning for his title along with two bruisers. von Eerie would have been challenge enough, but Tremont and Gacy? His odds don't look good. Also on the show, AR Fox will defend his Wired Championship against Azreal in what could be a fun pyrotechnic showcase. Sami Callihan and Adam Cole will engage in a "Pick Your Poison" series where they'll choose opponents for each other from a pool containing Jimmy Jacobs, DJ Hyde, and Tommy Dreamer. Jessicka Havok will invade CZW again, this time locking up with Neveah, and Shane Strickland will do battle with Bandido, Jr.

Down in Georgia, at Johnny G's Fun Center in Warner-Robins to be exact, Rampage Pro Wrestling will be doing another set of TV tapings, including a three way match for the Television Championship. Vordell Walker gets another shot at Kyle Matthews' title, but this time, Mike Cruz will be added into the fray. I've seen limited action from Cruz, but it was good. Also, Murder One and Kory Chavis will be defending the Tag Team Championships against Drew Adler and Francisco Ciatso. Also appearing on the show will be AJ Steele and Bobby Moore among others.

For some action in southern New England, Connecticut Wrestling Entertainment will be putting on Madness in March V: Alpha Dog at Bethany Town Hall in Bethany, doors opening at 6:30 PM. The show will be headlined by Vladimir Joseph putting his CTWE Championship on the line against Frankie Arion, and Lukas Sharp going up against Slyck Wagner Brown for a shot at said title at their signature event, Briccomania, in May. However, the big headliner on this card will more than likely be Bobby Ocean looking to take out a visiting Homicide.
